Universal Viewer: An Advanced File Viewer For Windows
While using Windows, now more than ever you can count on being able to use the right dedicated player or viewer to open a file. But then, there is also the constant search to find a shortcut to do something faster even if that means a simpler experience. Or also to have a backup plan in case a file don’t opens in your preferred software. Having a immediate second choice is always a good thing.
Universal Viewer is a good example. It plays/views pretty much everything you would usually need in the day to day. It does so very fast, with low ram memory consume and with a no-thrills, no-frills plain experience. 100% utilitarian.
Features
Some Notes
It can open almost any common file. but you can also add even more compatibility via plugins you can find in the app site. The only downside is that it is 32-bits only.
Universal Viewer comes in two flavors:
1.-Installer
Only really recommended for those still in XP and using either a Old machine or a netbook. Why?, well, because you are more likely to be able to get to use it from the context menu (right-click) and you may also be more likely to want to have it installed.
2.-Portable
Unfortunately not contained (just the .exe) as it needs it own file folder and you placing somewhere.
Recommended for those in Vista or in Windows 7. Why?, simply because you are likely to be using it often and it is more likely it will get in your way to have it fully installed. it is only really useful to you as a secondary viewer and player to what you already have .
Very Recommended if you are used to carry around a USB drive or you have something with HDD/SSD mode you also save files into. It can be a life saver if your in a work computer or a internet cafe.
